Please forgive me for taking so long to see you, feel you, and acknowledge you. There never has, and never will be, anything more important than our bond, our commitment to each other, to our love.

Your perseverance has me in awe. You stood resolute in the face of countless situations, moving through them in the best way you knew how. I am honored that your strength led to where I am now. Thank you for your bravery and resilience to continuing forward, no matter what happened.

We’ve seen a lot and learned even more. Your love of learning and desire to help people has blossomed over the years. I hope you are proud of who we’ve become and the path we’re on. We’re going to love life more, play more, and live a life of safety and adventure that we never could even imagine.

I can’t wait to share this next journey with you and that we can walk hand in hand into the ocean of possiblities. I promise to never leave you on your own again. I love you infinitely in this life and all others.

Yesterday I felt off and decided to pick up a sketch pad from CVS and went to the park to see what came through. I ended up drawing a rose surrounded by flames atop of water and reflected from underneath the water was another rose but it was surrounded by a bubble amidst the darkness. The words “When the light seems to be on fire, do you choose the darkness if there is peace?” were channeled and written above the image. This led to writing a poem about embracing the duality of existence. It was powerful and flowed out of me. I then sat on the bench watching and listening to nature and the people around me. When I left, I felt grounded and settled. It’s amazing the power of creativity and expression can alleviate even the darkest of shadows.

and you’re lost in the void
Your compass is broken and
the Northern Star won’t shine.

Have you ever had a picture in your mind?
That is destroyed and burned
so fast your head spins in confusion?

You go numb
because you know the truth
will dismantle everything.

The pain eats away at the edges
of your mind.

Wanting to be felt
screaming to be heard.
So great you know it’ll bury you if it wins.

Crushing devastation
you never saw coming.
Your breath is clutched in the hands
of sorrow.

Each beat of your heart
drums a death march
to the end of something.
With no assurity of what
comes next.

Thank you for showing me how strong I truly I am. Thank you for teaching me how forgiving, patient, compassionate, and loving I can be to myself and others that have hurt me. Thank you for creating situations that highlight how much I’ve grown. You taught my how to love and lose, how to move through difficult situations with strength, courage, and faith. Faith in myself, in the Universe, in the highest power there is. I found myself healing my wounds and I will be forever grateful for what I went through because I love who I am now
